The Jackson Lumen Christi Titans stormed past the Ida Bluestreaks 49-28 Friday night, capitalizing on a strong first-half performance.
Lumen Christi led 21-7 at halftime, leaving Ida playing catch-up. The Bluestreaks’ lone first-half score came on Owen Snyder’s 57-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Towne, followed by Wyatt Dirkmaat’s extra point.
Ida’s Dean Thomas sparked the offense in the third quarter with a 33-yard touchdown run, and later added an 8-yard scoring dash, trimming the deficit to 35-21.
Jeremiah Hoffman’s 14-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter capped Ida’s scoring.
Thomas paced the Bluestreaks’ ground game with 126 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Gavin Albring added 99 yards on 14 carries, while Dirkmaat toted the rock nine times for 78 yards.
Snyder completed three of four passes for 84 yards for Ida which finished the season at 9-2. Lumen Christi improves to 10-1 and will host 8-3 Constantine in the Regional.
