The Ida Bluestreaks secured a hard-fought 23-14 win over the Clinton Redhawks, overcoming the opposition’s strong first-half performance.

Clinton dominated the opening quarter, controlling the ball for 11:30 and scoring eight points. However, the Bluestreaks adjusted and took charge in the second quarter, with Gavin Albring’s 4-yard run putting them on the board.

In the third quarter, Wyatt Dirkmaat’s 31-yard field goal extended Ida’s lead, followed by Dean Thomas’s 11-yard touchdown run. Albring sealed the victory with a 3-yard run in the final quarter.

Dean Thomas finished with 120 yards, The defense was led by Braden Bydlowski (11 tackles), Gavin Albring (9 tackles), Jeremiah Hoffman (9 tackles). Jackson Wertenberger added 7 tackles and a sack.

With the victory, Ida finishes 8-1 while Clinton drops to 6-3.
