Each week Chris and Frank will give their thoughts on each team along with some other random musings. Frank is usually serious, Chris not so much.
Airport
Chris: Its never easy being the guy after the guy, but especially when you open with a loaded Carlson team.
Frank: The Jets have been grounded.
Bedford
Chris: You can’t spot a team a four-TD lead and expect to win.
Frank: A lesser team would have folded after being down 28-0.
Carlson
Chris: The Marauders appear headed towards a great season.
Frank: To those who questioned us for picking Carlson to win by at least three scores, where are we at now?
Dundee
Chris: The Vikings don’t appear to have an offensive identity.
Frank:Ouch!
Erie Mason
Chris: Good win for the Eagles, I kind of wish them and Jefferson would have kept their week 1 against each other though
Frank: This won’t be the last we hear of Logan Goodin this season.
Flat Rock
Chris: Rams open the season with a dominating win over Dundee, thank you for allowing me to leave just after halftime to enjoy a burger at Old Town with my boy, OC.
Frank: Here’s a t-shirt idea, Hagan & Scully: Attorneys at law.
Grosse Ile
Chris: Very tough opener for the Red Devils having to travel to a very good Ida team week 1.
Frank: Not even the even-year magic could help the Red Devils.
Huron
Chris: It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
Frank: Taking the lead is one thing. Keeping it is another.
Ida
Chris: The BIG Uglies getting ugly at the line of scrimmage.
Frank: We all know Ida’s offense can be a wagon. But their defense showed that they have another gear too.
Jefferson
Chris: I got nothing
Frank: Well, that was a swing and a miss.
Milan
Chris: It appears the Big Reds wasted a good defensive effort.
Frank: You can’t fumble inside the 1-yard line and expect to win.
Monroe
Chris: The Trojans probably needed that one.
Frank: Hopefully that won’t lead to what happened after the Saline loss last season.
Riverview
Chris: Ho-hum
Frank: Derek McLaughlin has always been one to not run up the score.
SMCC
Chris: Can’t complain when you beat one of the top-ranked teams in your division.
Frank: Falcons pass the first tough test.
Summerfield
Chris: What do you feed an opponent when they drive 144 miles round trip to play you? A goose egg!
Frank: Dawgs take care of business.
Whiteford:
Chris:Don’t sleep on the Bobcats
Frank: No one, and I mean NO ONE walks into The Woods and walks out a winner.
Potpourri
Chris: State Stinks!
Frank: How about my pet team from the west side of the state, Zeeland West, beating Muskegon by double digits? Quack, quack! (Shoutout to friend of the blog, Joey Giarmo)
Chris: Even though they aren’t amateurs anymore, I still love college football.
Frank: In the words of my mentor, Mark Hubbard, “A win is a win, and you don’t apologize for it.”
Chris: Fantasy Football draft preparation is exhausting.
Frank: Super Bowl or Bust!!!

Grosse Ile also had 3 or 4 turnovers that led to scores. Ida's offense looked good , scoring at ease, but their defense not so much.
Grosse Ile had two turnovers. Only one led to points by Ida.
Ida’s defense wasn’t anything special. Grosse Ile noticeably lost multiple lineman in the first quarter and still were able to throw all over them. Ida will disappoint people

7 sacks and 2 interceptions doesn't exactly mean they "threw all over them" lol
Several of the sacks came in the fourth quarter, once GI's OL lost 2 starters due to cheap shots from Ida. One pick on the goal line for Ida was blatant PI, not sure how else the WR ends up 4 stumbling 4 yards out of bounds while the ball is in the air. Ida needs to improve drastically if they want to live up to the "team of the century" bill
OK so fine, so GI "threw all over them" within a certain and specific timeframe of the game. Not exactly the all encompassing sentiment that was commented above.
What cheap shots are you referring to exactly? Can you back this claim up, I'll watch the film.. or is it just an excuse?
And yes, always improve W or L
