• Gary sees the same exact thing I see with this SMCC team. Should’ve never completely gotten rid of the T. Would you rather have your offense on the field the entire game? Or your defense on the field the entire game? Everyone that knows football would say offense. I have a feeling SMCC will never win time of possession in any game this year.

  • The offense is a work in progress.
    The idea is still to posses the ball. Clinton has a nice defense and top notch all-state Lb's.
    Coach Kipf usually has his offensive line in full stride by week 6.
    I expect that to be the case again this year.

• Does SMCC'S JV run the shot gun now?

• According to the MHSAA Handbook, Regulation I, section 10, it clearly states, "The use of undue influence for athletic purposes by any person or persons directly or indirectly associated with a student, a student’s parents, the school or its athletic program to secure or encourage the attendance of a student or the student’s parents or guardians as residents of the school district, shall cause the student to become ineligible for a minimum of 90 scheduled school days and a maximum of four years. The offending school shall be placed on probation for up to four years and offending individuals disconnected from the program. The offending coach or coaches shall not be permitted to coach at that school for up to four years in any sport and shall not coach for up to four years at any other member school in any MHSAA tournament in any sport. Examples of undue influence would include but not be limited to offers of or acceptance of: residential relocation, financial aid to parents, guardians or student; reduced or eliminated tuition and/or fees; any special privileges not accorded to other students, whether athletes or not; transportation allowances; preference in job assignments; room, board or clothing; promotional efforts and admission policies for athletes which are in excess of efforts for other students.."

    He was clearly full after the 19th.

    I don't even know who Ben Scully is... if I'm being honest.
    Couldnt pick him out of a crowd if I had to.
    Things are often said in jest. Some pick up on that, some don’t.
    Only reason I knew he went to St. Charles, is because I am friends with their basketball coach at the time.
    He looks to be a fine football player though.

• Gotta say pretty surprised you fellas didn’t all pick us… that’s besides the point pretty sure Gary has the most correct picks (for all time picks) I just don’t get all this CC hype muzzy will pass for 150+ ccs secondary will struggle. I also believe our o line will dominate there D line especially the interior…. But what do I know

• Sometimes I feel like Gary doesn’t know what he is talking about when it comes to the falcons as a big highschool football fan I think I would do better with the picks if I was up there instead of Gary leave it to the professionals next time thank you.

• Does anyone know if THE GRAVE DIGGER (Gilbert Brown) will be at the Smcc Huron game I heard his son plays on Huron…… (life long packers fan) sorry lions fans!!

• 5 of the 7 sacks came in the 4th quarter when GI lost 2-3 lineman throughout the game and held Ida's DL off for a while. GI is down to 3 sophomores and 2 juniors on the OL after the cheap shots Ida gave, including fracturing a players ankle in the pile. Ida's defense will be torched against a team like FR, Carlson, Dundee, ect who can move the ball at all

  • Ida will not play FR or Carlson.

• The Ida INT that killed the GI drive was blatant PI, not sure how it doesnt get called with the ref standing right there. Ida is going to need a lot of improvement if they want to live up to the "team of the century". Their league is weak so they'll make playoffs, but any sort of passing game will be a long night for the streaks.

  • There was no PI on that interception. I have film of the play, and I watched it multiple times.

    • Everyone in the stadium knew it was. It didnt change the outcome of the game but it was blatant.

• Gary I respect you a lot and u truly do. But I just can’t seem to help but think your treating the falcons unfairly and with some basis… All I’m saying is Friday 10:00 don’t be switching up stay on that side

    • I mean you know how good the falcons are this season after knocking off Clinton week 1 so I think your trying to see them lose good luck Gary them boys are coming

• Summerfield vs. Decatur is at ALBION College since it's about halfway between Petersburg and Decatur, not at Adrian College. Hopefully no one goes to Adrian thanks to the paper.
