Preseason Power Rankings

Here are the FNV Preseason Power Rankings. They have changed just a bit since the Way to Early Power Rankings that came out in early July.

The Power Rankings (Top 10) aren’t suggesting that one team would beat another in a potential match-up, they are simply implying that these teams are where they are at based on previous season record, talent returning, coach, schedule, history, offensive and defensive philosophies and division.

1. Riverview (9-2), The Pirates look great. The offense will be virtually unstoppable and the defense good enough to win the Huron League again.
2. Carlson (10-2), Don’t think the Marauders are a one-man (Izaiah Wright) team. They have plenty of offensive weapons and the defense will be solid.
3. SMCC (6-5), the Falcons are BIG and talented
4. Ida (5-5), the Streaks are BIG and talented too!
5. Flat Rock (9-4), the Rams defense is going to surprise some teams.
6. Whiteford (13-1), this isn’t the 2023 team, but Whiteford will be very good,
7. Bedford (4-5), love the Mules offense. Can the D stop people?
8. Huron (5-4), not sold on the Chiefs just yet. We will find out more this week.
9. Airport (10-2), the Jets appear to be laying low. We will find out where they stand this week against Carlson.
10. Monroe (3-6), still not sure on the Trojans. The scrimmage gave me mixed feelings
