The Carlson Marauders kicked off their season in style, defeating the Airport Jets 45-7 on Thursday night. This dominating win was a sweet revenge for last season’s 31-10 loss to the Jets.
Izaiah Wright was the star of the show, rushing for 154 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Quarterback Joe Krolak had a near-perfect game, completing 6 of 7 passes for 100 yards.
The Carlson defense was equally impressive, led by Ken McCurdy and Cam Kalbfleisch. The Marauders’ stifling defense held the Jets scoreless in the first half, building a commanding 24-0 lead.
The Marauders’ victory sets them up for a exciting week 2 matchup, as they host Edsel Ford (0-1) at home. Meanwhile, Airport will look to bounce back against Riverview (1-0).
