Carlson Marauders: Hope and Concern 2024

Now lets head a little south to Gibraltar and talk about the Carlson Marauders.

Reason for Hope: This is an easy one, Carlson returns the 2023 FNV Offensive Player of the Year, Izaiah Wright. Just a junior, the speedy back gives the Marauders a player who can score every time he touches the ball. Wright rushed for 1,965 yards and 29 TD’s a season ago while leading Carlson to a 10-win season.

Reason for Concern: While there doesn’t seem to be much reason for concern, Coach Jason Gendron must find a way to replace FNV All-Blog players Jake Nagy, Jacskon Zachary and Kyler Ostrowski. Nagy and Zachary were two of the best players in the Downriver League while Ostrowski was nearly automatic inside the red zone.
