Each week, I will go through the box scores of all of our teams and pick four players whom I will turn to you, the people, to determine our Player of the Week. Go over to our twitter page to vote: @FNVictors
There are a lot of choices in a given week, so narrowing them down to four is a challenge in itself. If you have anyone in particular to nominate, hit me up on Twitter (that will actually help me out more, as my Friday nights are busy with officiating).
You can then vote in our Twitter poll to determine the final outcome.
Without further ado…
Ian Adams, RB, Riverview: Adams only carried the ball ten times, but he made the most of them as he rang up 305 rushing yards and four touchdowns in Riverview’s 49-21 rout of Huron.
Izaiah Wright, RB, Carlson: Wright found the end zone five times, as he carried the ball 11 times for 148 yards in Carlson’s 55-7 dismantling of Wyandotte.
Rocco Breslin, WR, Flat Rock: Breslin may have only caught four passes for 81 yards, but all of them went for touchdowns in Flat Rock’s 56-0 win over Jefferson. Breslin also broke Caron Clayton’s school record for most touchdown receptions in a game
Ethan Layton, QB, Dundee: Layton continued his strong play since taking over for an injured Ryan Zanger. The senior completed all nine of his passes for 207 yards and a touchdown, and also ran for 59 yards and a score in Dundee’s 41-14 win over Onsted.
Honorable Mention: Billy Gaskell, QB, Milan; Graham Junge, QB, Flat Rock, Jake Wadsworth, RB, Summerfield; Jack Mills, RB, Airport; Colin Nowak, WR, Airport; Monroe Defense; Jake Iott, RB, Whiteford
