New Boston Huron finished the 2022 season with a 6-4 record which included qualifying for the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row. Veteran Coach Tom Hoover enters his 2nd season as the leader of the Chiefs.
Head Coach: Tom Hoover
Offensively the Chiefs will be led by senior QB Micah Smith. This will be Smith’s first season as signal caller for the Chiefs, but is arguably the team’s best athlete. Look for junior Ryan Anderson to to be very productive out of the Chief’s backfield. The line will be anchored be 3-year starter Josh Luciow along with big Earl Shepard.
On defense, the Chiefs will be led by senior LB Brennan Caldwell along with defensive linemen; Colten Martinette, Christian Fields and Austin Holloway. Christian Copley adds speed in the defensive secondary.
FNV Outlook: This year’s team doesn’t have the star power (3 All-FNV players) that the 2022 team had, but there is plenty of talent. The Chiefs have excellent team speed and will be very physical. While Huron isn’t considered a favorite in the Huron League by any stretch, they will be capable of beating anyone on their schedule. Look for the Chiefs to win enough games and qualify for the playoffs for a 4 consecutive season.

With all the great coaches in the league Tom is the best.
Until Hoover wins a state title I gotta go with Kipf.

They could probably finish anywhere from first to sixth in the Huron League.
