Week 3 Power Rankings

Not much movement in the top 5 this week, but a little scramble rounding out the top 10. This week should really give us some insight into where the teams stand.

  1. Riverview (2-0), the Pirates flexed their muscle against Jefferson on the opening night of Huron League play.
  2. Bedford (2 -0), the Kicking Mules christened their new field with 300 rushing yards and a win over Pioneer.
  3. Whiteford (2-0), the Bobcats with a nice road win at Ida.
  4. Airport (2-0), the Jets move to 2-0 for the first time since 2017 and extend their win streak over the Rams to 5 games.
  5. Carlson (2-0), The Marauders hold serve the 1st two weeks of the Downriver League schedule, but nemesis Allen Park is up next.
  6. Monroe (1-1), the Trojans go out and get their first victory of the season with a win over Ypsi Lincoln.
  7. Grosse Ile (2-0), the Red Devils with a nice victory over SMCC to remain unbeaten.
  8. Dundee (2-0), the Vikings remain unbeaten and are making a believer out of this FNV guy.
  9. Flat Rock (1-1), Rams lose heart breaker and jug to Airport.
  10. Huron (1-1), Chiefs jump back into the top 10 with a 13-12 victory over Milan.

  • I want to start off by saying that I apologize if my rather polarizing takes and comments on this blog have been in any way offensive or hurtful. It has never been my intention to drive away or upset fellow high school football fans. I have only wished to create a discourse among us and to share my knowledge and opinions with you guys. I harbor no ill will towards any other school/programs in the area and I only wish to see the young men succeed on the field. That being said, I have to admit that I am very surprised to see a much needed shake up in the power rankings of the Huron league. Although my Big Reds lost, it is nice to see other programs that have not had much success in recent years play well so far. Mark my words though, Milan is going to come back with a vengeance!
