Airport: Looks like the young Jets will finish right about where I thought they would. (4-5)
Bedford: Kicking Mules will likely finish 7-2 and have a chance at winning some games in the playoffs.
Carlson: Big win over a solid Lakeland team. Marauders get their shot at a DRL title when they travel to undefeated Woodhaven this week.
Dundee: Vikings are sitting pretty for the playoffs right now at 5-3, but a loss to Hudson could ruin the party.
Erie Mason: The Eagles may need a win this week to make the playoffs. The numbers are too close to call if they fall short against Whiteford.
Flat Rock: The Rams gave rival Huron all they could handle last week. An upset win over Clarenceville could possibly vault Flat Rock into the playoffs at 3-6.
Grosse Ile: It’s an odd year on the island. Don’t worry Red Devil fans, next year is an even year.
Huron: The Chiefs should squeak into the playoffs with a win over Division 2 Crestwood.
Ida: Blue Streaks appear headed to a post-season rematch with Clinton. The winner of that potential match up would have a legit shot to get to Ford Field.
Jefferson: The Bears gave their rival SMCC all they could handle last week. Up next is Detroit Northwestern.
Milan: Milan thumped Airport in week 8. The Big Reds host playoff hungry Detroit Osborn this week.
Monroe: Huge week 9 game for the Trojans as they host Riverview with a possible playoff birth on the line.
Riverview: The Pirates wrapped up an outright Huron League title this week, but will have their hands full this week with Division 1 Monroe.
SMCC: The Catholics are currently 2nd in the Division 7 playoff picture. A win over a 3-5 Division 2 team could help them jump #1 Lumen Christi.
Summerfield: The Bulldogs lost big to one of their rivals in week 8, but are they preparing for another improbable playoff run in 2021.
Whiteford: The Bobcats are really playing well right now. I hope they aren’t in the same region as Hudson.

Whats Dundee's odds of sneaking in with a 5-4 record? Hudson looks legit this year.
Hudson being 9-0, if they were to defeat Dundee, would give Dundee 2.667 bonus points.
I think that will be enough to get them in. They have a solid 8.35 POP lead on the 33rd team right now.
Thats a good lead. I like their chances. I havent done any math on it at all though. Just giving it a rough look.
It would also help Dundee if the LCAA has a good week 9.
Any Riverview fans out there got any thoughts on the Monroe game?
We will show up like we do each and every Friday
we will show up for the game as we do each and every Friday
I have a pretty good feeling that Huron falls this week and gets cut short of the playoffs. It seemed as if the 0-3 start killed their spirits a bit.

Calpreps like Huron
Does Huron make it in if they win?
Wow! I guess that answers that question.
Most likely yes.
Depends on how healthy Huron is. With #7 out and Smith injured again, Huron may struggle. I hope Smith is able to play so we can see another Huron League team in the playoffs.
Hurt again? Did he ever heal from the first injury?
No, he hasn’t healed from first injury. There are multiple other players battling injuries as well. They have all year that’s why they have struggled some this year but they fight thru the pain because they love the game and their coach and want to give it their all.
I don’t think so. He’s a team player. Probably just plays through the pain?
Warren mott is 28 students away from being division 1. Why would such a big school schedule a division 7 team??? And why is cc scheduling a school that’s 5 times their size??
SMCC reached out to many schools over the past 9 weeks including a local big school I heard. The new playoff system may have rewarded those who play tough schedules to an extent, there are still some kinks to work out in the new system. I personally hope they stick with this system for a couple more years and try to work it out before scrapping it after 1 year. As far as why SMCC would schedule a game against such a big school? SMCC has played non league games against Lansing Catholic, Notre Dame Prep, Divine Child, P-W, Bedford and Plymouth in years past. With covid forfeits hanging over every team's heads, I would think a coach would want to get as many games as they can for the kids because you never know what can happen.
Warren Mott is going to be a legit test for my Falcons and I honestly see them going in as the underdogs. If I remember correctly, aside from when SMCC played Plymouth (2088 enrollment at the time) and Bedford (1830 at the time), Mott is the biggest school enrollment wise that the Falcons have played in quite some time.
They will have their hands full with Mott's speed and size and it really depends on which version of the Falcons show up. Does Mott still have kids with D1 offers or did they graduate from last year? Best of luck to my Falcons, I hope the Jefferson game was a wake up call for them and pull it together and pull off the upset Friday and gear up for a long run in November.
You left off Crocket and Nouvel.
It's getting to the point where you can only play "schools your own size" for some of the newbs in this blog. Matchups mean nothing anymore. Too many people equate school size with how good your team is. Sad really. MHSAA needs to fix this.
They both needed a game. Mott has no shot at the playoffs and wants their kids to have another game. SMCC sees it as a win/win situation.
crazy y’all doubted carlson lol
Uh, I picked Carlson.
