Here are the Player of the Week Candidates. While there were many deserving, we chose these four candidates. Voting will be on our twitter page @FNVictors
Christian Brown, RB, Bedford: What can Brown do for you? Pile up rushing yards and put the ball in the end zone. The senior rang up 331 rushing yards and five touchdowns in the Mules’ 42-28 win over Ann Arbor Pioneer. Bedford can punch their ticket to the playoffs with a win over Monroe next week.
Cole McElvany, RB, Milan: It’s not just Tristen Hines that Milan opponents need to be wary of. McElvany made the most of his opportunities, as he rushed for 117 yards and all three of Milan’s touchdowns as the Big Reds outlasted a feisty Huron squad 22-21. The win has assured the Big Reds at least a share of the Huron League crown.
Ty Schroeder: LB/TE, Dundee: Schroeder made an impact on both sides of the ball in the Vikings’ 43-6 rout of Columbia Central. The junior made six tackles, three sacks, and forced a fumble from his linebacker position, and hauled in a 53 yard touchdown pass from his tight end position. The win kept the Vikings’ playoff hopes alive, as they sit at 4-3
Cole VanWasshenova, RB/KR, Airport: VanWasshenova made an impact right from the start of Airport’s game at Flat Rock. The senior returned the opening kickoff 96 yards to the house for a touchdown, and also rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ 55-28 win over Flat Rock. The win moves the Jets that much closer to punching their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2012, as they need to win one of their final two games.

How about someone new, my vote is... Blanzy: 19 tckls 13 solo, 1 sack, 3 tfl, 1 strip, and a 73 or longer yd touchdown off that strip, and a loss to SMCC and the three headed monster. and whatever the heck he did on offense blocking.
GI had some nice performances friday night. Both Pizzo and Blanzy stood out.
We only nominate players from winning teams. We could literally nominate someone from every team every game. We try and nominate the best performances. It isn't a slight to anyone else. Simply a hats off to some deserving players.
