Coaches’ Thoughts:”The Huron League will have several teams that can compete for the league championship. The league champion could have 1 or possibly 2 losses, meaning there would be split champions.SMCC has 20 seniors on the roster this year and will have great leadership. Several of the seniors are entering their 3rd year on the varsity level. They have 5 home games this year.Week 1 against Madison Heights Madison is a rematch of the 2017Division 7 regional final, which Madison won. Once again on offense, SMCC will run the ball primarily defensively they play multiple fronts and the strength of the defense will be their line. “
FNV Outlook: The Falcons bring back a strong core from the 9-3 squad in 2018. Numbers are up a bit to 30 or so, which is needed in the rugged Huron League. Look for the Falcons to be strong contenders for the League Title and possibly set themselves up for a nice run in the D6 or D7 Playoffs.

If this team doesn’t make it to ford field it will be disappointing. They have several three year starters. As mentioned above they have the best coaching staff in the county bar none. Best backfield, best defense, and this year a Qb that can make every throw. This is their year to run the table. Go falcons!
temper the excitement juuuuuust a bit lol. Many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip.
Have you seen the teams that are in D7? JLC, New Lothrop, Pawamo, TCSF, Cassopolis, Loyola.
If SMCC goes D6, Blissfield, Montague, Ithaca, Montrose, Collegiate.
Lots of ball to play and SMCC will need all the breaks. Just as any team needs to win it all.
Was at the Trenton scrimmage, cc did look good on offense, defensive line, the middle is not that good just like last year and special teams are giving up big plays, also defense gave up to many big plays in the scrimmage...The coaches couldn’t fix the middle of the defense last year or the special teams, as of right now you can expect the same this year based on the scrimmage.... that’s what we all seen, it will bite them in the but again...
Does SMCC have a week 9 opponent?
Yes. A Detroit Charter school I believe.
Two kids that also stand out on the offensive side of the ball is Harrington and Smith. Harrington ist the throwing QB and Smith is a running back. Harrington threw the ball well yesterdays in there scrimmage. Smith is just fast as grease lighting and idk if anyone can stay with him in the HL. Sleepers on O that could help CC make a deep run.
Defensive of coaches of Ignagni and Flint are the best duo of coaches Monroe County as EVERR seen.
Gary you make it out to the CC scrimmage yesterday.
I only watched them play Trenton.
Strengths
Offensive Line- dominated Trenton
Running backs- All were solid, especially Morgan
Areas that may need
improvement
Defensive backfield- did not come up aggressive enough on the screens.
Special Teams- way too many big plays given up.
Overall I thought SMCC looked solid. Much better than last year against Trenton
3:43 lol...is this the first time you’ve watched football ? Lol...
no lol. what are you confused by
Of course he did. He never misses anything!
Yes he does!!!!
LETS GOOOO
That Sophomore 6 from 2 years ago is a group to watch. Increased to Sophomore 7 when Morgan exploded in the playoffs. Those boys: Flint, Gullen, Cousino, Castiglione, Bergmoser, Morgan, and Bogdanski have been a great set of leaders and will leave there mark on the league, the blog and their school. Good luck and God bless
