This is the first time ever we have done an All Blog team. It was tough with 16 teams and us picking an offense and a defense. There will be 12 players on each side of the ball plus a kicker and a punter. We also included our Overall Player of the Year, as well as, Defensive Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year.
Overall Player of the Year
E/RB/DB/KR Jalen Johnson Sr, Monroe
Chris’s Comment: I saw Johnson play three times this season. He was one of the best football players I have seen all year. People came to their feet every time he touched the ball. Johnson was one of the many reasons you saw a resurgence in Monroe High football this season.
Offensive Player of the Year
E/RB Tristen Hines Jr, Milan
Gary’s Comment: A threat to take it to the house every time he touched the ball. His versatility is what makes him so valuable. Run it, catch it, he can do it all.
Defensive Player of the Year
LB Johnny Blanzy Jr, Grosse Ile
Chris’s Comment: Blanzy was a man among boys in every game this year. The physical junior was virtually unblockable and when he tackled you, you knew it.
Coach of the Year
Jon Bodner, Grosse Ile 9-1
Bodner led the Grosse Ile to their first 9-0 regular season since 1965. The Red Devils fell in the playoffs 28-21 to Chelsea, which finished runner-up in Division 4 this season.

Hearing an asst. from the staff will be getting the job. According to my source, none of the above coaches applied but I can't believe the Bedford admin. didn't reach out to someone like Giarmo or Mensing. Any of those coaches would do well there but I am hearing this will be staying an inside job.
Any possible names being heard for the new Bedford coach?
In house candidate ?
What about an area coach like Giarmo, Kiph, Hoskins, Mensing, Mcelvany, or Potter?
Who ever gets that job could become an instant force
Never put it away Chris! Take a break, don’t feel the need to post many topics in the offseason but please, never put it away. Let us check in now and again to see what’s up. Did the troll finally reveal himself? Legally of course. Did D1 dad ever get his kid the offer he was expecting? Did any AP fans buy the AP coaches any Christmas gifts? Did a former Huron player make it to BGSU? We need to know. It’s why we click on the blog. And we wouldn’t get a chance to wonder why “put it to rest” guy won’t put it to rest. Is he sitting in front of a computer with toothpicks holding his eyes open like A Clockwork Orange with somebody clicking refresh on the site? Wouldn’t his own advice solve his problem? Chris, ignore the guy that said it was a conflict of interest. You started this blog, you have seen it through from the beginning and it is yours until you see it is time to shut it down. The basic premise of this forum I believe was to promote the accomplishment of the young men in the Huron League. This year you broadened it to include the new schools down in our area. If a little info in the side bar upsets somebody because it is a school that isn't part of the "blog schools" but helps grow your programs out of it, maybe they should start their own blog and can put what they want on it. Thanks again for all you and your team does! Keep up the great work!

Season was over 3 weeks ago, most teams around here it was 6 weeks ago.

Please explain the conflict of interest? I'm not following your thought process. I tweet all types of things from numerous schools.
Chris, could you please stop promoting Dearborn ATA by posting about them with the blogs social media outlets. It’s definitely a conflict of interest seeing you have a very large following from the blog side of things.
Any announcement where some of the players from the blog might be signing to play at the next level?
Maybe a "Special Teams" player outside of a K or P. Maybe someone who stands out as a return man or someone who is able to disrupt the other teams return.
You could also offer a "Second Team" for those who maybe should be on but you can't find the room. But, Yeah, it'd take a lot more time and I'm sure you guys aren't able to get to enough games of every team to be able to really do all that. Nice job though. And your right, somebody, somewhere is not gonna be happy because in order to make it meaningful, it has to be kind of limited.
