I’ve done playoff point projections, and I can all but guarantee SMCC gets in with 5 wins. Milan I think sneaks in by the skin of their teeth with 5, and Huron will sneak in by an even thinner margin with 5 wins (last team in in D3). Monroe will not get in with 5 wins, unless a lot of luck goes their way. I have Monroe’s total at 59.538. The lowest point total in D1 last year was 59.778.

Roosevelt played without their best player Friday ,Kendrink Stanley
Hate to criticize guys, but could you do a live recap of all the games on Friday right afterwards. I have to work on Saturdays, and Sundays won’t work either. Oh, and if you could, have it in before midnight cuz I start thinking about college football. Again, I really hate to criticize cuz you do put in a lot of work.

You still have to have the kids that can make plays.
In my opinion both Trenton and AP have a good shot to get in with week 9 wins. I looked things over and every team in the DRL that was 5-4 had gotten in prior to this year. So that's a good sign.
As far as how that would shake up the districts. It probably would shake things up.
Right now there are quite a few teams at 5-3 and 4-4 in D3. The 4-4 teams aren't shown in any playoff projections currently. Assuming half of the 5-3 and 4-4 teams will win and thus half will lose. The playoff map will look somewhat different after Friday.
One can assume it would be hard to keep Trenton, AP(Allen Park), Carlson and Riverview out of the same district. It all depends on how the map looks after week 9. Where would Romulus and Huron go? If Trenton and AP make it in... that would mean 2 teams that are in the current projections would have to go. Which changes the map.
For those who do not know. Records don't play in to how districts are selected. It is all by proximity and ease of travel(major highways). So it is possible to have the 2 best teams in the division in the same district. This has happened quite a few times.
keep an out for Snooze's week 8.5(if favorites win) map. Probably will be up sometime Wednesday. Here is the site. http://www.snooze2you.com
What that map will tell you is if all the favorites win on Friday, what the map will look like and who is in. Of course some upsets will happen but it will give us a better picture regarding Trenton and Allen Park and how they might affect the teams we cover.
I know this has nothing to do with area football, but after watching Lions game Sunday, I remember why I like high school football so much more.
Just pitiful!
Hate to criticize Chris and Gary when they are putting so much effort into the blog. You should have the wrap up show on Saturday after the games. By Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week, I'm on to the next matchups. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!!
ANYBODY BUT ROUGE!!!!! Their line is HUGE!
Airport went for and recovered an onside kick. Milan went for it (unsuccessfully) on 4th down from their own 10 yard line! For whatever the reason, both coaches clearly felt like their best chance to win was to keep their offense on the field for as long as possible.
Best of luck to the Jets in Week 9. Build on what you gave in Week 8.
