Gary and I have decided to choose our own Quality Inn in Monroe Quality Performer of the Week. If you would like to nominate a player, please send an email to us at fridaynightvictors@gmail.com.
We would like you to vote on the polls to the left though. There are four really big games for seven area teams this week that have different implications. Six of those teams will play in head to head competition against another area team.
The games are as follows:
Riverview @ Huron: 1st place in the Huron League will be on the line when the Bucs travel to New Boston.
Bedford @ Monroe: The two biggest schools in Monroe County will battle in this important SEC Red match up.
Hudson @ Ida: A huge LCAA match up as the Division 7 # 3 ranked Tigers travel to Ida.
Airport @ SMCC: Important game between Huron League foes with playoff implications hanging in the balance.

Oh boy. SMCC wins a few games, now they are world beaters. Heard they got a couple kids back from injury, probably has made some difference. Airport is very angry at this point, much more talent than their record shows. If they get it together, they will put a pounding down on SMCC.
We will see who wants it more. Airport has to get the lead and take SMCC out of there eat the clock run game. Shift the line around like other bloggers have said. this will confuse the blockers.
Airport 21- SMCC 18
Don't forget to dim the lights a little bit more while you're out there. Lol
@6:12, while Riverview beat SMCC and Airport by about the same difference; both SMCC and Airport are not the same teams they were earlier in the season. SMCC won their last two games and Airport lost their last two games. Football is a game of momentum and SMCC has it. Just helping you take EVERYTHING into account. Would love to chat with you, but I have to go water the grass at Navarre.
Huron JV 17-6 2:15 to go 3rd quarter
Huron 17 Riverview 12 1:59 to go 3rd quarter
Huron JV 17-6 2:15 to go 3rd quarter
To the guy that says Airport won't stop SMCC running the T because they couldn't stop Riverview, your not taking everything into account. Riverview has better backs than SMCC, Riverview has a better running QB than SMCC and Riverview has a MUCH BETTER OLINE than SMCC.
SMCC has given 2 teams their only loss of the year, one of them being a defending state champ who’s outscored opponents 233-18 the last 5 weeks... falcons win 27-7
Airport has a solid team. Odds are they end up 4-5 though. That is where Gary and I both picked them.
626 is exactly right. The could’ve games are the games that are close either way. I don’t think any team on the blog won their games in the fashion of AP. Last second FG and last second drives for 2 of the 3 wins. They are very lucky they aren’t 1-5. Good
For them getting a few breaks this year. They got none the past few seasons.
