  • I've had 2 nephews play at Huron over last 7 years with the last one being a Senoir this year. When these 2 teams get together regardless of records or expectations it's always a head knocker. Airport played discipline hard nose football and I respect the effort they turned in. I think Huron isn't overrated as much as they are underachieving. They haven't even come close to playing a mistake free game yet and the play calling in my opinion is too predicable. Same players getting the ball in certain situations. Open it up sooner, throw on first down some. Also need to get these penalties under control. Seems they had more penalty yardage than offensive yardage in first half. Just my 2 cents.

  • Well first let me preface by saying that I have 0 football coaching wins. I completely understand why airport went for two with less than 1 yard to go. If I was going for two, I would've ran the QB sneak with my best player in a play that had worked already. Since I also have zero football coaching losses as well, I would have kicked the ball to go up 17. Mostly because a 16 point lead is still a two score game. Hopefully, the airport thankful RJ nitpicking that call. Coaching got them in the position to win the game in the first place. I thought Jim Duffy coached a nice game as well as his staff. One thing I think we've all learned is that Coach Duffy learned a lot about game preparation from his days with Jack Giarmo at SMCC.

  • Huron alumni and AP parent my view of the game...Huron is good but way overrated. AP is good and way underrated. Think it's was cool mind game/ intimidating that Huron dressed the entire freshman and JV team. As far as game went...refs are ref saw bad calls and no calls for both teams. One of the best displays of running back (1 for Huron) vs running backs (3 for AP) game I have seen in the HL in a long time if not ever. AP qb toughest I've ever seen! He got POUNDED (I am soar this morning just from watching it) and always got up and never got rattled from it. All league stud. no one tougher. Now for the million dollar question...should AP have gone for 2pt conversion to make it a 17 lead ( it was 30-14 at the time) was the talk after the game? Keep in mind there was 2 penalties that moved the ball to the 1...I say 100% I would have...chris or Gary?

  • Huron played a terrible game, the refs were awful and Huron best if not second best player didn't play the entire game. In my opinion if everything went right it would've been a 3 touchdown game. Airport is going to have atleast 1 upset win this year in the league

  • I think Airport dominated tonight. Just a few minor errors cost them the game. They have nothing to hang their heads about. Especially since this game was suppose to be a blow out by Huron. Didn't see that happen.

  • And AP been on the other end vs Dundee no time left to win guess you know how we vikes felt after dominating you all night til the very end

  • At 4:47pm-didn't see 100 from those Huron boys tonight. Good hard fought game with Airport leading the entire game until 4 seconds left.
