The fans have voted again this week for the Quality Inn in Monroe Quality Performer of the Week. Riverview QB Dominic Wood received 43% of the whopping 1,828 votes that were cast over the two day period. Congratulations to the other nominees.
Here is Dominic’s performance: the junior QB led a balanced Pirate attack over defending Huron League co-champs Milan on Friday. Wood rushed for 69 yards and a TD while also getting an interception in the end zone while playing defense during the 29-18 win.

I agree Dan and Chris the kid has been outstanding every week. Watch the 30 on 30 on the Boz and how his dad tracked all of his stats. That turned out well. Lol
Great job Dom
Great job Dom, you played amazing! Can't wait to watch you tear it up again this week, kiddo!!
I agree Dan, human nature I suppose. I think it is important sometimes to let comments like that through so it gives us a chance to explain our rational for what we do. Funny how critical comments are ALWAYS mad anonymously.
It's a shame someone is so bitter that someone would even make a comment saying Dominic Wood shouldn't have won! If you look at his performance during this game and and every game he has played he probably could have got nominated every week!
That's the thing, we don't go by stats. We take open nominations via our gmail account. We then nominate 5 players who all had very good weeks. Then, we let the fans decide. Wood had a very good game as Riverview beat the defending Huron League co-champs and favorites to win the league again. If you were at the game, you would realize how well he played and why is performance was probably the best of the week. His runs were perfectly timed and his interception was a back breaker for Milan who was threatening a possible comeback at the time. Quite honestly, I think the fans made a great pick for the quality performance of the week.
If we are going by stats, Wood shouldn't have won. I'm taking anything away from him. But he didn't have the best stats out of all of them
