• Great idea.

• The Milan AD tries to hire 7 officials per game sometimes only 6 shows up but is still able to give you better coverage. The little extra money it causes should be easy to recover!!

• Actually looked up the mechanics and was totally wrong. Only valid reason was the one Chris pointed out - the officials lined up wrong.

• Been a few years since I hung up the stripes, but my recollection was that the headlinesman can stay on the line for a FG attempt mostly when a fake is expected. When that happens, the referee is responsible for verifying that the ball is within the non-occupied goalpost. This is the normal mechanic for a crew of less than 5. Regardless, whether it was a communication or poor refereeing, it doesn't appear that the FG was covered properly.

• So AP can't get 1/2 yard up front then yes the better team won in the trenches when it mattered going for 2 in that part of game was bad choice by AP staff but they chose to go in FB 1/2 yard is nothing was QB sneak called?

• Atherton's game winner was dead center and could have been good 45+ yards. Kid has a leg on him.

• EM, were talking about Airports's FG just before halftime.

• Really? I didn't have a good view and couldn't tell if the kick was good from where I was sitting. If that's true (and I'm not saying it is) Merry Christmas Huron from the officiating crew. EM

• Monroe News game summary cut off for Rams game. Only showed Milan scores! Rams will play hard each week. Character guys that work hard led by Jacob Dotson. Great game for Airport Jet Steffen Dyl with 126 yards and touchdown. Inexperienced Airport coach would probably go for 1 point next time which would have made Huron needing 3 scores. Finally, your best new coach question at beginning of season would have to go to Jack Giarmo right now! Thanks for the Huron League Blog again this season Chris and company!!!
