Yes. Most T teams are foot to foot. They do so to cut off penetration. One unit. Strong.
I noticed Ida lineman were foot to foot on the line. Is this how all T offenses are ran? Seems like you would want some space in there to be able to move.
Years ago Milan had some Ypsi kids on that team. I remember people talking about it on the blog. I want to say it was the 2nd year of the current coach. I could be wrong.
Milan has zero school of choice kids on there team.
Remember I said all things being equal, that the numbers would shake out like that.
Milan has two dozen kids on Varsity and no frosh team. If someone wants to tell me how SoC is helping Milan Football these days, I'm all ears.
The Willow Run theory sounds good but was never a factor for Milan. It's not as close to Milan as you might think. It's far easier for Willow Run kids to go to Belleville, Ypsi Lincoln, or an Ann Arbor school if they didn't want to play for Ypsi High. Now that Fred Jackson is running the program in Ypsi now, I have to believe that he's going to keep more of his district's kids playing for the home team going forward.

SMCC and Trenton both lacked energy (except the coaches on both sides who had lots of energy). It was hot and muggy and the teams looked flat. Concessions weren't fully supplied and the fans were quiet on both sides. I think it will all be fine by the first game.
Chris everything you just said makes sense before school of choice happened. Now that school of choice is a such thing athletes go to the better programs. Wouldn't be surprised if some of those Whiteford kids come from surrounding areas. It's the same in Milan. Not sure so much now but back when Willow Run closed up it forced kids to Ypsi and Milan. Your comment makes total sense but school of choice dis-proportions your numbers game.
Perfect. Example of comparing leagues is Clinton, they were terrible in the lcaa so they left for the tri county and found success. Finding that early success gave the program hope and kids began to come back out for football... mason should consider that drop, because they will get a few wins without improving and then kids in the hall ways will
Play and the team will improve and then they can come back to lcaa
Good stuff Chris!
