• Milan and GI in a D3 district seems like a stretch. However, if either of these teams draws River Rouge...it will be short run. Milan's team speed may match up best with them but no sure either of these teams would even make it close. I think there could be a number of 5-4 teams that make the playoffs. I think there are a number of Class B schools that will be moved up into D3 before Milan and GI. In my best guess.

• SMCC played a great game last night. I don't want to take anything away from them, so chill out fan base. But I believe SMCC at home, on homecoming, with their playoff life on the line, was everything. Also, Milan played a huge game the week before, and basically have a Huron League championship in the book. Very hard for young kids to get up week after week. That is probably why SMCC lost 3 games this year. They are obviously a much more talented team than their record, and are going to be a pain in the playoffs (if they get in). I believe if Milan played this game again next week at home, they would win. Having said all of this; I want to congratulate SMCC on the win, and commend their kids and coaches on their class during and after the game.

• That would be crazy......a 4 way tie. But - it is the Huron League and any team could beat any team on any given night. That's why you have to show up and play. Last years game with Airport was dramatic, and Milan has some key players still battling some injuries....not counting the kids that were taken to the hospital on Friday. Other teams are hurting as well.....no excuses. Should be another epic week Huron League football week.

• Interesting: I've seen Allen park and trenton play this year. While I'm a huron league guy, I say Allen park has the best team of the four, then milan. Grosse ile vs trenton would be a toss up -- but I think trenton is more physical. I do believe Allen park would win over milan, they have the defensive speed to match up with Milan's talent.
