I always love that statement you probably never played football so you dont know what your talking about. It Always the same person who played football and talk like they know everything about sports they haven't played. I LOVE THAT !!!
Not sure what the league record for picks is but Windham in 2014 and Burger in 2015 both probably came very close
Webster and Seau would have never been the people they were without football. It is a shame of what it did to them physically. Unfortunately that is a possibility for any of us who decide on a dangerous living. Football and sports in general teach young people many things they will use the rest of their lives, so I would say it is for life. Just my opinion. We all have our takes on it. I bet Mr Lindeman's sons will be much better young men for having played sports than not having played at all.
This is a football blog, right. If you don't like football, why are you even on here?
I got it in your earlier posts. I still don't think you understand. No doubt football enhances ones life and contributes to ones character, but if you are blessed with all granddaughters and they love volleyball, you might be tempted to say volleyball is life.
We will accept it. That's football, that's life. Get it? Accepting it is not an issue, I just don't like it. There are no co-state champions. There are no co-regional or co-district, so why a co-league?
If it happens then it will be accepted, just not liked.
I love football and agree with all the things it teaches, but have perspective, it is NOT life. You are missing my point, a league championship game or league playoff is over the top. Play your schedule and if two or three teams tie at the top, accept it.
1:31-Thank You!! Ask Marcus Dupree if "football is life". No one that has played in the Huron League comes close to his talent.
Football is a great sport that teaches some excellent values, but is NOT life. Life needs to go on even if you are one of the best that has ever played. Ask the Webster or Seau family if they think football is life.
Your missing the point. No, football is not life itself, it's what the game teaches you. Plus it's an opinion. You get out of life what you put in it. Same with football. Thus the saying football is life.
Playing football is awesome. The ultimate team sport.
I get chills everytime I hear "Boys of Fall" by Kenny Chesney.
Proud to say both my sons played football.
Sarcasm is annoying on here.
Taking sports seriously, trying your hardest, teamwork, making it your life for a certain period in your life, is what its all about. Whether its football or another sport, those are lessons that will last a lifetime. I have no doubt my sons are better people for participating in football and all the other sports they played. I'm sure that's why most of us do it. A select few will make money at is someday, but ALL will be better for having played.
Football and sports are life !!
You get it.
6:06-I would really hope that they get the point. Just play your schedule, hopefully your team makes the STATE PLAYOFFS and your team goes as far as they can-7:12.
Thanks 7:12 for adding to my sarcasm :). Do you think the playoff people will finally get the point or should we further explain it in a safe space?

I like your idea 6:06. To make some people happy we can do it like basketball, everyone makes the tournament and we play it all out again. But let's have everyone get a little trophy st the end so later in life they can talk about their high school football career and how they won a trophy.
