I'll take your bet and put the smart money on SMCC, unless you are the HL Blog's Lincoln Railsplitter Insider and know something we don't.
Chris-you bringing up the point about Airport only being good when Redmond was there kind of worries me. I never looked at it like that until now. It's a very good point.
no they would get absolutely smoked by CC.....Coaching

Alot of infighting in AP. Not a good sign.
That isn't necessarily the case at Airport. There are very good players that don't get the carries. Obviously I'm not the first one to bring this up. The "program" is pretty much in shambles at this point.
Sounds like a lot of parents ticked off their kids aren't playing more. Memo: if your kid isn't playing, it's because he's not as good.
You mean to tell me there was only 1 applicant for the head coaching position at Airport?? I don't know if I believe that.
It's not true at all! There were more. Not going to name names though
So because he's a good guy and he genuinely cares about the boys Airport should keep him?? That's about one of the dumbest things I've heard. Please explain what he's done as a coach to keep his job? The offense isn't ran the way it should be. They have the ability to go to the playoffs this year. Wait, let me rephrase that. They had the ability to go to the playoffs this year and next year might even look brighter when you look at the Sophmore class. They will go 3-6 next year if Baas is still the coach.
Chris I just posted defending baas . Could you not post that . One aplicant might be a bigger slap then what he's already getting.
Let me say this . Everyone says fire the coach . Well there was one applicant. Chad Baas is a good guy. He Gives as much time as anyone for little pay. He is young and has made some mistakes. He genuinely cares for these fine young men. It's high school not college.

Again, most of us don't get to see our favorite team practice. Playing time and trust is earned in practice.
Some coaches spread the carries out more, and on those teams the third best back earns the third most carries. On other teams, coaches favor a more winner-take-all approach. On those teams, the third best back might just get special teams duty and that's it.
Who's the third best ball carrier in Milan? Any guesses? Are you telling me that those kids, while not as talented as Lindeman and Barnes, are not deserving of any carries and are not killing it in practices? For example, Brandon Lange is listed as a RB on the roster, but primarily plays defense. His kick return to open the second half may have been the key play in the Riverview game. Players have to keep preparing for their moment, their time to shine.
When a team is winning, there might be some grumbles about PT and touches, but these opinions tend to bubble to the surface moreso when a team is losing. Parents can be coach killers by giving toxic thoughts to their boys. Thoughts like, "We're losing anyway, why doesn't my kid get touches?" can really be harmful to the coach's season-long efforts.
If you are Mr. or Mrs. Mykidsnotgettingenoughplays and you think the coach is wrong, teach your kid to convince the coach that they are wrong--not through words but by that player's actions in every practice rep, in every play they do get in on, during chalk talks, in warmups, in the classroom, everywhere.
Everybody thinks Airport only has two talented players, that because the other talented players don't get a chance. We wouldn't want anyone to out shine Airport two favorite stars now would we? It should be about winning games not stats. We need a coaching change.
