In my opinion this is the Game of the Week in the league. Huron (1-0) is coming off of a 22-18 victory over Avondale while Airport (1-0) is coming off of a 31-14 road win @ Dundee. Huron won last years game 29-7 and has won 3 consecutive games in this rivalry. Airport leads the all-time series 43-12.
Huron needed some late game heroics to secure the victory over Avondale last week. Junior QB Brett McKay accounted for 258 yards on the ground and air for the Chiefs. The Chief’s offense centers around McKay along with RB’s Reed Smith and Drew Leininger while junior WR Phil Martin is an outside receiving threat. The defense relies on seniors Nik Becker and Garrett Krzeminski along with juniors Jared Kozlowski and Mike Mitchell.
The Airport offense is driven by junior QB Tanner Jeska and features junior RB Michael Foor who ran for 3 TD’s in week 1. The defense is led by senior LB’s Brent Mossburg and Justin Goretski. Sophomore DB Bryce Bondy is a star in the making.
This should be a really good competititive football game. Two talented teams with two really good kickers. I think Huron has the bigger up side, but Airport is the better team right now. Give me the home team. Prediction: Airport 21 Huron 20

That is Airports down fall, if you feed #4 the ball 30-40 time or more then EVERYONE EVEN THE SPECTATORS IN THE STANDS know exactly where the ball is going. Easy to defend, when you have the talent in the back field that Airport has had in the last 4 years, and you move the ball around in the back field AP marches down the field. You make them a 1 dimensional back field easy to defend and they go no ware.
You guys are really stuck on this, wow. I hope they made the locker door bigger at Airport so everybody's head can get through it. Obviously, no TEAM concept.
GO CHIEFS !!!
They actually did put wider doors in.
I agree with 10:38. Mike Foor could be right up there with Airports best running backs by the time he graduates. However, I don't think this coaching staff will utilize his ability like the past coaches would have. Redmond would feed him 30-40 times a game if not more.
If you don't know who Mossberg is now you sure will know who he is when your team plays against him. Look for the huge tall kid flying around the football field!!
Mossberg is still only average in his blocking skills. Other than that, he is as good as you should expect a 6'-3" receiver to be in the league. I'm a lot more interested in seeing how Mike Foor continues to develop his ground game, and whether or not his line will step up and make some holes for him. That's what you really oughta pay attention to with Airport
I think Foor has to have 30 carries in order for the Jets to win this one. They need to pound it on the ground and play good defense.
Tired of hearing about Moseberg, does anybody else play for Airport. I would like to hear more about how Airport is much improved, I'm sure it more than just Moseburg. I don't even know who he is.
last year.....LAST YEAR.....LAST YEAR PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE PAST WELL PAUL HARVEY WOULD SAY "YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY" GO JETS live in the moment !
Huron had a int thrown to Mossberg with one on one coverage last season. That Huron player is playing this season also. Should be a good game!
"Mossburg will be Mossburg". What does that mean? Because, based on their 1-8 record last year, I'm not interpreting that like you appear to mean it :)
