  • Going back 12 years, private schools have won only 36.5% of the state titles. I guess you are right, separate the 2 so the private schools have a better chance.

  • I watched the game. It was closely contested. It sure how anyone that saw the game could say anyone got their butts kicked all over the field. It was a 1 point game late. Huron had chances to win the game. I predicted GI to win the game by 2 scores and they did. But it was earned and Huron was there to take it but the costly dropped int's doomed them. One in my opinion would have been a lick 6. The other, GI scored. If Huron made those plays, I think the score is swapped. Again, GI got a great win. It was a good game. This is from a CC supporter. I had no dog in this fight.

  • GI dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage all night. But Huron beat their pass defenders badly to keep the game a one point contest with 10 minutes left in 4th quarter. A blown signal on a punt basically gave GI 7 points. Up until then it was anybody's game. Just keeping it real.

  • Huron missed 3 EASY interceptions. If they get just one of those. Just one. But they didn't. All 3 and Huron wins by 10. In these closely contested matchups, it's plays like that, that need to be made.

  • The everlooked aspect about GI is there oline. They're doing a great job opening holes and creases for their running backs. I would say they deserve some credit.

  • The great thing about GI this year is they have a wide range of talent.  Moores is an extremely capable QB as you can see from his stats as QB last year,  and his range as both WR and kicker this year. They have quite a few guys who can catch,  Reeves,  McGrath and a few others, as well as many other talented players who can adapt to alternate positions. Perhaps Bodner saving his starter for future games,  maybe this line-up was a better fit. Coach Bodner is a sly and mysterious man,  maybe he wants to keep the other teams guessing,  who knows? Either way,  it worked and #17 is just fine,  or is he??
Tune in next week to see the continuing saga on Fantasy Island.

  • The game was a 1 point deference and could have went either way until that fake punt attempt. That just turned momentum away from huron. Im not taken nothing away from g/i they were a very good and aggressive team that was well coached. But to say the score could have been uglier is just beefing up you ego cause like i said it coulda went either way
