Both teams are coming off of week 1 losses. SMCC (0-1) fell to Pewamo-Westphaila 30-20 while Riverview lost to Romulus 32-14. It was the first opening week loss for either team in five seasons. The Falcons won last year’s match up 14-12 and lead the all-time series 27-12.
Offensively SMCC will be run happy as usual. The Falcons rushed for 250 yards in the opener and really only threw the ball late in the game when trailing. The bulk of the offense will revolve around senior Kevin LaPrad and junior Collin Woolford. Defensively the Falcons will once agin be led by senior DE Justin LaPlante.
Riverview was less than stellar in the opener, but that may be due to some growing pains. Riverview’s offense is pretty much one-dimensional like the Falcons and will feature senior RB Kaylon Paynes-Brown. The defense is led by Nick Walsh, the Pirates will need to get better quickly against the run if they are going to stop the visitors from Monroe.
This should be a hard-nosed throw back style of game between to teams that will run the ball 95% of the time. Neither team can afford another loss at this juncture of the season. Prediction: SMCC 26 Riverview 14

In my opinion coach Adam Kipf has his hands full with this team.. they are young and lack true star power especially on offense. I think he is a great coach and does a fantastic job with what they have but with Flint being out I think they are in trouble. THE VIEW 28 SMCC 18
IMO you know nothing. SMCC 44 Riverview 6.
That Riverview team in 2004 was great. The head coach for Riverview was Brian Flint. SMCC grad and the Father of the SMCC QB.
Uncle
You have to go back to 2004 for the last time Riverview won a playoff game (http://michigan-football.com/f/rivrview.htm). Further back than I thought.
I guess opions will vary!
We can argue all day. Romulus has some incredible athletes, but maybe not a great team as a whole. P-W has a great team, but maybe not too many outstanding athletes.
Watch film. Watch film. Watch Film. Much easier to stop a few athletes with some strategy than a whole team. Ask SMCC how they have beaten some very good opponents by stopping their studs. Ask Milan how they lose when a team watches their film and easily stops their studs.
That's all folks !!!!!
P-W would beat Romulus by 50 lol
PW looked lack luster last weekend. Romulus would win the game by 10+ points.
When is the last time Riverview won a playoff game?
What is this, I'm NOT an SMCC fan then a bunch of praise for SMCC. Yeah, right. Whatever. I'm not an SMCC fan and have nothing good to say. No pretending here.

Well, you just lost by 38 points. You still want that credit?
Whatever pal. Obviously you don't know football and can't give credit where credit us due.
Wow kind of sour and haven't even lost. Yet.
3:57 poster P.W is about the same size as most Huron league teams look at the Rosters..Romulus has 2 kids over 350 multiple over 220 and over 200 they also have several kids being looked at by colleges. Some can argue they have a weak schedule but you can't argue size and speed and talent. There is no doubt CC has a well coached team and some very good players. Riverview also is well coached but running a new system and a young team I expect it to be a very close battle.
I don't think so. Look at their last weeks score
