Expect the same production on offense next year. If there's ever someone to replace Jack Giarmo in taking control of the offense it has to be Kipf. He ran the same offense on JV and was successful. It's all about paying attention and drilling the lineman in that offense and Kipf has had a long time of working out the kinks...he'll be ready.
Defense is a different story, and that's where the success of the team will come from. They lost some good athletes, but there are enough there to perform well. Adapting to the coaching change and replicating the system will be a lot harder than the offensive switch.
Overall the biggest test will be halftime adjustments. Giarmo and his staff were absolute wizards at making the right adjustments, and I'm sure it'll be tough to replicate that right out the gate. I'm optimistic, but cautiously so.
Brent Masserant was the best WR that CC has ever had. Class of 1979.

The Junior class this year was the backbone last year. If you don't agree w/ that than you weren't actually watching any games. The Senior class last year lacked leadership.

Wow, I wouldnt say that at all. Windham(best QB ever at CC, along with Michael Howey), Vuich(best WR ever at CC). I could mention 6 or 7 more that were special players. I like the junior class.. there is hope for this season but last year's senior class was nice. state champ nice.

Windham not best ever.. They had great teams in sixties .seventies. Them Qb had class..

There are two Woolford. Riley #81 is a senior stud two-way lineman, the other is a sophomore QB/DB #5
Starters back for CC are: Poupard, Coombe, Woolford, Carrabino, Mcmillen, LaPlante. The best players on the team might be a junior in LaPrad or a soph in Woolford. All the guys mentioned in the first line will go both ways. Shinevarre, Burger, Lehman, O'brien and Blanchette will have to step up to be a league contender.

Woolford is a senior not a sophmore

Gross Ile will not be better than last year. Although numbers were low, they lost a really good senior class with some tough hardnose kids. And losing the quarterback???? They are not better. I'm sorry.
SNCC lost a ton of really good players, so please don't act like they have everyone coming back because they don't. We can go through returning starters on each side if necessary lol. Jack was a top coach in the state and thinking it will be an easy transition is ignorant. Not saying the new coach won't do a good job, but seriously has his hands full. SNCC didn't just lost Jack, they lost there whole varsity staff. That's a huge red flag. And losing the defensive coordinator will hurt. Forget his name, but was always impressed with what he did on D. I would say 5-4 or 6-3 would be a successful season. Tecumseh should be decent along with Riverview the first two weeks. We're gonna find out real quick if Smcc is a contender this year.
Grosse Ile is a better team than last year. For the record.
Incoming class 65 kids, the time has come. Middle college rules.
