Riverview (5-3) lost to Grosse Ile 28-14 while Summit Academy (1-7) lost to Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard 53-6. The Pirates won last seasons game 63-0.
Riverview has lost three of their last four games, but should get better this week against the Dragons. The Pirates will look to stay healthy this week and get everyone playing time.
It has been a long season over at Summit. Points have been hard to come by this year and the Dragon defense is giving up nearly 40 ppg.
The best thing about this game is the Pirates won’t get lost driving right down Sibley Rd. Prediction: Riverview 55 Summit 6

I have said this before. When the Riverview Summit home and home was planned Riverview had only won 3 games the season before and Summit 4. At the time it was scheduled it looked like a good match up. With the DR league not having any non-league games it is difficult for Riverview to find non-league games that do not require driving an hour or more. Summit as Chris pointed out is 8 miles away with the bus making 1 turn to get there. Riverview is definitely on an upswing and I am sure this will be the last year that they play summit.

It's 8 miles away down Sibley Road.
View should be ashamed to be playing summit.
Who were the jv rbs?
I don't recall their names I know they are on varsity now ..if I heard the names or seen them on paper I could remember..the one had a bunch of yards rushing and a bunch of TD's he usually only played a half because they was up by a bunch of TD's so all the 2nd string went in after the half.
Im sure the RB does his best.
I make no excuses for them ..as I said some players behind the starters need to bring there A game and step up..both lines have had there issues against good defenses but there RB doesn't run with authority...they had some Rb's on JV last year that can give them what they are looking for ..don't know where they are..but who they have won't work..they all need to step up and bring it!
At this point everyone is dinged up-deal with it. What I noticed last week as far as Riverview is that both lines are suspect and there's a real lacking of team speed.
Riverview should win but they are dinged up a lot of starters out with injurys..their run game needs to be rejuvenated..some player need to step up and bring their A game.
