Is SMCC’s defense as good as the 1991 defense that propelled the Falcons to a state title?
That was the best 2nd half Huron has played all season.
Grosse Ile is playing angry
Milan needed that.
I knew what the outcome would be, but I thought Riverview would score.
What sayeth the Airport faithful ?
Don’t worry Bear fans, UPSM is coming soon.
Rams played better for a half this week.
Is Andrew Mitroka back?
Looks like four Huron League teams will get into the playoffs.
Who is SMCC’s most valuable player?
Huron League Coach of the Year?
I think the league is pretty good this year.
In case you were wondering Carter Paddy had thirteen tackles Friday.
News flash people, the best three defenses in the league belong to the top three teams.
I think the Rams may have to wait until 2015 to get a win.
If you need a Friday off, St. John’s Waltz is hosting a Wild Game Dinner at the Carleton VFW this week. Tickets $50, Doors open at 6 pm. Email me if interested huronleaguefootball@gmail.com

there are two problems with the post about FR. 1. TO is leaving to be an AD. That is a promotion. That is a better job. High school coaching is not a full time job. 2. In this day and age there are limited resources at schools, you cannot fire someone from a job without cause. This is not college football or pros where people should be fired and hired for wins and loss. There is already an AD at FR, if there had been an opening maybe they would have hired him but no opening.
High school football is about teaching young men teamwork, hard work, and perseverance. I wish Coach O well and good luck at the new job at Dundee.
FR has an AD already. He is a good asset too!
That's a joke, right?
Flat rock lost a great asset, guy put in time cared about the kids and was dedicated to the program. The school board should be ashamed for not making him the A.D. local kid graduate standout athlete and good guy they get away. This will cause a downward spiral for the program as good athletes will leave an up-and-coming will go elsewhere.
Riverview coach ... 1st year success.
SMCC is just as good as 1991, maybe better.
Huron is the real deal. four teams is great.
Bears, don't play dirty just because you are frustrated, you are a good team. Just keep working together. Paddy never quit, good job
GI is not angry, just motivated.
Mitroka is back, fully back, watch out.
The Huron league is good this year, level of play up across the board. Better coaching is key.
Coach of the year: Giarmo. Those boys all know exactly what to do each and every play. Kalbfleisch comes next for bringing Huron to next level of play.
News Flash: who comes in third?
I'll coach the Rams if they pay for my commute from Denver. My wife would kill me to move back to Michigan with the harsh winters.
It is true. FR"s Tom Oestrike has accepted the AD position at Dundee. Start date in early November.
Get better!
A 9 win Class C team is the same as a 4 win Class A team as far as Playoff points earned if you beat them. So there is value for the higher class schools to play the good lower class schools and vice versa
Not even FR wants to talk about FR.... They need to go independent, get a hanful of good assistants to run JV and lower levels.
Here is some FR talk. My son is on the team, and it has been a difficult year. Between the losing, the untimely passing of their defensive coordinator, and T.O. taking a position at Dundee (can't blame him... Very good opportunity), these players have been through quite a bit this year. Through it all, they work hard, and are improving. They are young, and will need a new coach that continues to push them, not to mention greater belief in themselves and commitment to the weight room. Nonetheless, there is talent on the roster, and in time their hard work will show up in wins. Keep your chins up... I, and many in the community are proud of you!
Great job for someone can't go anywhere but up
Rumor has it as of today T.O. took the A.D. job at Dundee. Who takes over F.R. football next year?
O we want to talk but not here. Maybe the A.D's office. Or school board meeting might me more appropriate
