SMCC (4-0) is coming off of a 28-0 victory over Grosse Ile while Airport (3-1) beat Flat Rock 56-21. The Falcons won last seasons game 27-7 and have won eight of the last ten games in the series. In fact, SMCC has won forty-one of the fiftey-one games play between these two teams since 1954.
Airport put up a lot of points against Flat Rock last week and most came on the ground. Dylan Meiring and Bryce Cole continue to provide the offensive output for the Jets. Defensively, Airport has the task of slowing down the Falcons high powered offense.
SMCC keeps showing league opponents week in and week out that they appear to be the class of the league. They lead the league in both points scored and points against. They also have the best coach in the Huron League.
Airport has stepped up this season and surprised many a little bit, but things get tougher from here on out for the Jets. Airport will have to find a way to force some Falcon turnovers and find a way to get into the endzone at least three times. I just don’t see that happening. Prediction: SMCC 35 Airport 7

Giarmo has 4 HL titles.. 05-06-09-10.
Just correcting a mistake Chris made earlier.
If I was Airport, I would try and do what GI did. They held them to 28. I have watched AP on film and watched SMCC in person. SMCC will run the ball at will. This is coming from a Milan dad who thinks SMCC is playing the best football hands down. I think they run the table. AP, and Milan are going to be fighting for a playoff birth.
Over the last 20 years this rivalry has been pretty good. Smcc leads that 12 wins to 8 for Airport. That's a pretty good rivalry to me. Should be a good game. Airport looking good this year. I think it will be 12 to 9 after this season.
AIRPORT 28 CC 17
GO JETS!
I love the fire up posts Airport is throwing up there for their guys... Pretty sure no one in the room at SMCC is preparing for a blowout... even when Airport is in a down season it's always a battle... And Airport is in no way fielding a down year team.... Going to be a battle in the trenches, have a feeling the first drives of the second half will determine the outcome...
Airport defence has been solid this year but i think they have struggled against the pass this year would love to see airport win this one. I see it being closer then alot of people think...as for smcc not playing as a team and being a "me" school you sound crazy beause year in and year out smcc is known for team discipline and playing as a team and better yet a machine. ..airport fan no predictions i just hope airport come out on top
SB
Complete blow out, stops being fun to watch after first quarter.
CC 42 to 56 (depending when they put 2/3 strings in)
Airport 6
This will be a close game. They both run similar offenses, so defenses will know what they are looking for.
Riverview was bigger and faster than Airport and served them their first loss.
SMCC is not bigger and faster than Airport, so this will be a great matchup.
Airport will have some more fire in them, since they haven't beaten CC lately.
Airport 28, CC 21
EM, homer pick, or do you think airport is actually going to win. I will be VERY VERY surprised if airport gets to 21. I will be slightly surprised if they score at all. 14 is the most I see airport putting up. I've watched 3 of their games on film. If Meiring diesnt get off they are in trouble because the QB is limited in my opinion.

If Airport can hang tough in the trenches they have a chance. EM
Thanks for the response. I agree, although GI was very good before the injuries and AP just didn't know how to use what they had.
Riverview, SMCC and Huron probably did. Milan really bought into what they were doing, but did have some talent.
