Jefferson @ Airport

Airport (1-0) is coming off of a thrilling 25-22 come-from-behind victory while Jefferson (0-1) is coming off a disappointing 29-0 loss to Ida. The Jets won last seasons match up 28-14 and have won seven straight in this rivalry.

Airport is looking to improve to 2-0 on the season and will try to do so with a punishing ground game led by Dylan Meiring. The Jets rushed for over 300 yards in week 1. The defense stepped it up last week in the 2nd half after spotting Adrian a 22-14 halftime lead.

Jefferson sputtered on both sides of the ball in their week 1 loss to Ida. The Bears will need to stay away from mistakes and penalities if they are to give the Jets a game. The offense will once again be led by QB Justin Kull and RB Sean Kirchner.

Both teams suprise me last week with their outcomes. This is a solid rivalry that will be hard fought even though Airport has dominated the win column the last seven years. Prediction: Airport 28 Jefferson 14

  • Jefferson lost 31-21 offense is dangerous receivers run catch block well pass protection getting better qb has time will pick apart defense. Jefferson defense has moments of being solid.not enough.gives up to many long drives.

  • Jefferson has some pretty good talent this year, when they all get on the same page they will do very well. Hopefully sooner than later.
    GO BEARS !!

  • I agree you cant judge a entire season on 1 game. Jefferson still has a lot of potential and if they get the offense figured out they can still have a good season so we will see

  • Should be a good a great game. Don't write off Jefferson just yet. The league is very tough this year, but having the right game plan can make all the difference in the world. Look for Jefferson to rebound and keep it close. The Jets will be grounded this Friday.
