Grosse Ile enters the season still stinging from a season that was struck hard by injuries. The Red Devils started off 3-0, but an injury to star QB Andrew Mitroka in week 4 started an avalanche of other injuries and GI ended the season at 5-4. Expectations are high for the Islanders who return a host of players who contributed last season and that includes Mitroka.
Offensively the Red Devils are led by Mirtroka who as accounted for over 2,600 yards and 30 TD’s in his career. The offensive line will be led by senior Max Gilliam and junior Justin Chamer. After Mitroka senior Derek Judd is likely to be the leading ball carrier out of the backfield. Sophomore Justin Moores is a big target on the outside for the GI passing game.
The GI defense will be led by a host of seniors. Phil Camilleri and Dean Ziberi help give the Red Devils a solid line backing corp. Three sophomores are expected to get opportunities. Dominic Trombley, Andrew Vollmerhausen and Owen Wiewiura will help bolster the defensive line.
Grosse Ile has a ton of talent and must hope that depth does not become an issue this season. The Red Devils seem primed for the playoffs and a run at the league title. They simply just must stay healthy. Prediction 6-3

I have them losing to MIlan and SMCC. I expect that Riverview, Airport or Huron will sneak them. You can figure it out from there.
Your predictions don't coincide with your thoughts on the team. They are better prepared with contingency plans. Although who wouldn't be after last season? Are you expecting other issues? What teams give them 3 losses otherwise?
