Grosse Ile (3-2) is coming off of a 40-6 home loss to Milan while Airport (2-3) lost to SMCC 27-7. The Red Devils won last season’s game 28-14 but are just 2-8 in the last ten games against the Jets.
Offensively Airport is averaging 20 ppg but has struggled to score against the better teams on the schedule. Defensively the Jets give up the same amount per game.
Grosse Ile’s has struggled both offensively and defensively since the injury bug hit their depth challenged team in weeks three and four. McCarty and Judd need to step up big for the visitors.
Tough game to figure out. Can the Jets use the Islander injuries to keep their playoff hopes alive? Will Grosse Ile’s other talented players step up and continue their run to the playoffs? Pick: Grosse Ile 14 Airport 13

Thanks for finally talking about >"Grosse Ile @ Airport" <Liked it!
With a little emotion Airport could be a good team. if things start clicking don't count the Jets out just yet. Airport 28-13
Everyone's defense has looked bad when they played Milan.
Huron was the only semi-decent one and Milan had almost 400 yards of offense.
GI will be better this week in all phases, no doubt. They actually did ok passing the ball last week.
If they can air it out they win.
Team now has unity and couldn't be happier.
does anyone know forsure that Pugh and Stewart are done for the year?
Losing mitroka for the season was a huge blow on the field but it was also a huge emotional blow for EVERYONE involved with GI football. That team will in no way, shape or form be as good as it could have been no matter who steps up. Everyone there is dealing with it and it takes more than a week to get over. He was the leader and was made captain as a junior, he made the team go, period. GI was bound to take a huge step back for a week or 2, let's see how they line up this week.

Airport won't run on anyone. They will have to rely on the pass.

Boy oh boy. This is an easy choice for me. Airport wins 21-14. The Red Devils are scrambling after being taken down hard by the Milan big reds. I thought GI would step up big on defense and beat Milan last week but boy was I wrong. GI defense was the worst its been all season. It was sickening to watch. Offensively, we all know how that is without Mitroka. Airport has a chance to win the game as long as they jump on GI early and break their will. Red Devils better figure something out or its gonna be a long game.
Its like this. Be coachable, be a good teammate, and always give your best. If not be gone!
2 teams in bad need of a win. Airport 21 GI 13. Any chance Mitroka will be back by the end of the season? EM
