and they havent won one since 91... not sure what your beef is.
Its spelled Sandersen and I have talked to him about it.
He did not like it when MCC played up a class. That was Spas' doing.
Not sure if you have a dog in this fight? Who are you taking up for?
I may be reading into this but it sounds like sour grapes.
I got my info from the MHSAA, I do understand how it works and have a problem with it, but, its just my opinion. Whatever. Not here to argue with you Nutty Butter. Obviously your a CC fan.
I have been around here my whole life, not sure if you have, but when CC won the state title in class B in 1991, that was great and very respectable. As is should be.
Now-a-days with this Class CC or division 6 stuff, its pretty much BS. Ask Joe Sanderson his thoughts
sometime.
Good luck out there Nutty Butter.
For volleyball... SMCC is class C and Ida is class B. Not sure where your confusion lies.
I guess cc would fall into the 6th LARGEST chunk, not smallest.
Not sure where you get your info from.
256 teams "qualify" for the playoffs. Those 256 are divided into 8 divisions of 32 based on ENROLLMENT. Nothing more.
SMCC has fallen into the 6th smallest chunk of 32(D6) since this playoff format's inception.
Not sure how that is confusing whatsover. I am not even sure what you are suggesting either.
Chris can you help me understand what he doesnt?
Nice conspiracy theory. There is indeed 254 teams in football. SMCC just so happens to fall into the top enrollment of D6 which potentially puts 95 schools smaller than them and 160 schools above them.
The difference for volleyball is that Ida and Dundee are class B along with Adrian. Adrian's enrollment is 872 while Dundee's is 476 and Ida's is 503. Class B is from 449-910. 190 schools fall into Class B.
Current SMCC enrollment is 437.
Current cut-off is 449. This is for the classes A,B,C,D.
Football playoff divided differently top 256 teams divided into 8 divisions of 32. No-way SMCC is below 160 in state to allow them to play in Division 6. Should be 3 or 4 at least. Football dividing goes by wins and point value. NOT enrollment.
There are many skeptics out there as to how this is done, Volleyball is same kind of thing, How does Dundee and IDA end end in a district with Adrian, Airport and Tecumseh?? where SMCC is in a District with Erie Mason, Whiteford and Summerfield.
I will quit harping on this, not much most of us can do about it, just stating some things as I learn about them.
I'm sure someone will have issues with this, I'm just giving my opinion. It is what it is.
"There is a big buzz" to not gain Enrollment so they won't move up to D5? You must be close to the situation. Tell us more. I'm pretty sure CC dodges nobody. Take a look at their non league schedule over the years for proof. Please tell us more, we are listening.
Lol what ?
