Milan didn’t fool me this week.
What is going on at Riverview?
Grosse Ile sophomore QB Andrew Mitroka is a star already.
What is going on at Jefferson?
SMCC is probably a year away.
Will Flat Rock give Milan a game this week?
Airport is going to have to beat undefeated Milan or Tecumseh to have a shot at the playoffs.
Can Huron play that way two weeks in a row?
Is this still a coaches league? Gone are Redmond and Robb while Cisco and Stergalas don’t seem to be the same.

SMCC and airport have 13 of last 17 titles. Is it possible to over rate them?
SMCC and airport were overrated by one man one year. You act like there has been a trend. Both schools have great players coming up. Other schools are in the mix for sure but the falcons and jets will be there.
I think many of us thought Milan would rise under there new coach. I didn't think it would be this quick however. They did show signs in his first year.
Were all entitled to opinions. Everyone said look out for CC and Airport this year, well look what happened. I believe that will continue because kids that are dominating now(JV)(Freshman) will not be on Varsity. The young man from SMCC that moved to Vicksburg, great young man, 6ft 2, 225lbs. Dominated at lower level, just another kid on varsity while he was there. Just some thoughts.
Keep up the good work on the blog, even if some have no clue. LOL.

Huron league fan believes Airport & SMCC will continue to be over rated in the upcoming years. You have little clue.
A couple of thoughts:
SMCC's enrollment is up slightly but what is happening is that Class C is dropping. The cutoff this season is 449. That number used to be consistently around 490. The only sport SMCC may move up in would be basketball.
Nobody is happier for FR and Tommy O than myself. With that said, this team has 22 seniors. The Rams will most likely take a big step backwards next season and the year after. The football talent just isn't there right now. Could that change? Absolutley but the Rams are most likely 3 or so years away from building anything significant.
SMCC could face some big sports changes. Their current enrollment has them just in Class C and Division 6 in football. Their enrollment is very close to moving them up a class. Good for them attracting more kids to the school and program, but could take a hit in their playoff plans.
As far as the Coaches League, I think right now there is a lot of parity and no coach or program is dominating. Airport and SMCC were overrated based on past years and I believe this will continue.
Having new schools at the top and that changing from year to year is what the league is about. Very exciting Huron League season, whether your team is in the mix or having an off year. GO Big Reds, Go GI. Watch for Flat Rock next year.

Watching tape of CC/ Huron game. Huron D/lineman dove at the offensive linemans feet of SMCC every play. That seems to me a real sissy way to play football. What happened to taking on blocks?
The way Airport is playing in the trenches right now, it's gonna be near impossible to beat Milan or Tecumseh. SMCC and GI were just more physical up front. EM
