Looks like SMCC might be back.
Milan is a better team with Justin Aceves back in the line up.
When was the last time Airport lost that bad?
Flat Rock has now won two in a row over Jefferson.
Should you go for two to win the game? Absolutely!
I think a one loss team will most likely win the league championship.
Can Grosse Ile and Airport rebound? One will, one won’t
Will Riverview make the playoffs?
State sucked last night.

I agree that Friday nights should be sacred. I am not sure if there is some sort of minimal standard for illumination for safely playing a sport.
I know there are standards for illumination for working tasks and it is measured in footcandles of illumination.
I am sure Giarmo would be happy to turn the lights off to run his offense. However, SMCC has a basic responsibility to provide a safe playing area for players "AND FANS"
Just a different feeling playing on Saturdays. Nothing like the hype of Friday night. Its part of high school football. The lights are fine. Lil dim sure but good enough. I've played on Saturdays and it's just not the same. If you wanna play on Saturdays, make it to your semi final game.
Great point. A Saturday day game would be a great experience. Why not try it?
But theirs is an offense dependent partly on deception. Low lights, black gloves...all part of their home field advantage. If their coaches thought it was to their disadvantage, they would have changed years ago, right coaches?
SMCC used to play their varsity games on Saturday nights back in the 70's. Monroe High and MCC both used Navarre at that time for football, baseball and track.
Why don't they play Saturday day games at Navarre or Saturday Night games at Monroe High?
You are right, they should. I don't believe, however, that they can pass a millage in Monroe to fund a private school's field. If you suggest private donors, I might ask you to pick up a copy of The Wall Street Journal and see if someone should be risking money right now.
SMCC should get their own field.
Monroe Public Schools owns/maintains/controls the lights at Navarre Field, so maybe you should take up the lights comment with them...trust me, a lot of SMCC fans would love working lights and scoreboard.
I tweeted the link to SMCC and Monroe news in twitter. They posted it on FB
