Huron @ Airport

Both teams appear to be headed in different directions. The Airport Jets (3-2) are coming off of a two touchdown loss to Grosse Ile while the Huron Chiefs (2-3) are fresh off a blowout win over Jefferson. The Jets won last season’s battle 35-14.

Airport’s offensive and defensive numbers are down from last season. The running game has not clicked like in year’s past and the defense has given up an uncharacteristic 23 ppg.

Huron’s defense has struggled most of the season but the Chiefs may have righted the ship in last week’s win over Jefferson. The running game continues to be effective.

Both teams need a win this week or they could see their playoff dreams possibly broken for 2012. Nobody has played more homecoming games as the sacrificial lamb than Huron has over the years. Airport may have made a mistake this season. Pick: Huron 21 Airport 20
