The best Jv game of the Year will be between the Huron Cheifs and GI will be a good game because hurons running game and there good defensive line and there full Back tyler olson who has already put up 10 Touchdowns this year and in the passing game with their tight end John Burchel
watch out for number 10 on grosse iles jv kid hits like a truck only set back is he likes to jump the gun...
Hurons jv team is doing great with only 22 kids total. There 3-0 and so is grose ile .. That will be a good game
Conversly GI is 3-0....a long way from the oh-4 years which also included the JV. (1 of the 2 years)
Now that IS "winds of change" all you bloggers that are tired of hearing it!! Things are looking up on the Island.
SITOFN
Whats going on at CC, JV 0-3. Football is cyclical, maybe a tough stretch coming up.
SMCC JV squad 0-3 this year so far.
Looks like a tough year over there.
Other schools stepping up this year.
"Airport 41 Flat Rock 0
Horrible officiating on both sides"
Now the JV are blaming the refs too...
Huron's freshmen kicker also didn't play his normal positions as a 2 way starter because he was injured. He only kicked because they had no one else who could do it. Do you think it is possible that the kid just made a physical mistake? Did they overload one side and run at the kick from an angle or did the kid just shank one? Often times squib kicks can look like onside kicks when they are not executed well.
Huron's varsity has a terrible kicking game. It started a freshmen kicker in game one. If Huron had a kid on the frosh team with kicking skills he would be on the varsity.
Obviously, you haven't been around long enough if you don't remember Airport onside kicking with large leads during the Redmond years. His answer was, "we need to work on it in a live situation against an opponent". What comes around goes around! To me it sounds like you can't stand losing to Huron.
Hurons freshman team attempted an onside kick when they were already ahead 53-34. Totally classless, but than again I guess that is there payback for what happened a few years back when they gave up 84 points. But than again, airport was playing lineman at the skill positions when they scored 84 points.
