Here are my picks for week 1 of the season.
Flat Rock/Ida, the Bluestreaks beat Flat Rock on a late 2 point conversion in OT last season winning the game 29-28. That loss catapulted the Rams to an 0-9 season. Not this season. Flat Rock 28 Ida 21
Huron/Erie Mason, the Chiefs have dominated the series since it started and both teams will be playing different openers next year. Huron won this game last season 40-14. This season will be no different. Huron 34 Erie Mason 13
Airport/Bedford, Bedford won last season’s opener 48-29 after Airport had won the last two. This should be a good game but Airport is most likely a little overmatched. Bedford 30 Airport 27
Grosse Ile/Onsted, this could be the best game to go see in week 1. Onsted has a solid program while Grosse Ile is thinking playoffs this season. Air attack vs. ground attack usually has an obvious outcome. Onsted 35 Grosse Ile 34
Riverview/Crestwood, everyone seems to think the Pirates are playoff bound and beating Class A Crestwood would be a good start for playoff points. Riverview won this game last season and should do so again. Riverview 21 Crestwood 7
Jefferson/Tecumseh, the Bears won this game last season and don’t return much experience from that team. This old Huron League rivalry takes a turn the other way this season. Tecumseh 21 Jefferson 14.
Milan/Ypsilanti, this is the first game in Jesse Hoskins varsity head coaching career and the Big Reds are in rebuilding mold. This will be a tough game for the Big Reds and the Phoenix are looking for revenge. Ypsilanti 28 Milan 24
Saturday
SMCC/Plymouth, the Falcons may have bit off more than they can chew in this season’s opener. Plymouth has a boatload of players back from last season’s Division I runner-up team. SMCC will have a fine season but must just hope to survive the game at Rynearson Stadium. Plymouth 42 SMCC 14

I'm just clownin chris, First week is always tough to pick. There were some surprising scores all throughout the state of michigan this first week.
Always tough the first week.
Question for you. Do I always pick the games the way they will go or am I using my brilliant marketing mind to draw readers? :)
Chris 4-3 on your picks? Your barely above .500, come on mane. Pick your game up.
Riverview 41-0 Crestwood
All this talk about CC playing Plymouth but not a word has been said about them playing Windsor Assumption again who went 1-7 last year and was out scored 62-296.
That's because no one else will play CC. Figure it out.
Nobody wants to schedule SMCC. They take who they can get.
Can't they have 1 easy game? Sheesh.

Like I said b4 cc has the toughest schedule of any class c team in the state.
