  • Alum 04: GI has SMCC, Airport, Milan then FR left on the schedule...Some would say slaughter with the first 3, I say we'll see what happens Friday at Milan.

If GI plays some D (I know, a big IF) and outscores Milan...then week 6 and 8 get interesting too.

  • is mays a good football player? yes

is he the only reason they are winning? no

a team cannot win a game based on one player. mays hardly plays defense and i dont see him as a top tackler just posted so does airport have a defense? yes and their helping out

potcova, a sophomore, is in the top 4 for passers in the huron league. i also believe airports line has stepped up this year. no they are not as good as years past but i was scared they wouldnt even be able to fill the spots at the beginning of the season. they have one of the most underrated lineman in the league in anthony kitts and just a couple games ago another rusher had more yards than mays on their team so to say its a one man show is just ridiculous....sorry for the rant

  • Forgive me. My point was not to compare Mays to Wheatley or Airport to 'Chaud. Only to compare the situations. Mays is carrying them and they are winning games. The only game this year that Airport "spread the ball around" and got those other kids involved in was Bedford...loss. When a team has a great back that they ride, all you have to do is stop him to beat them. The hope is that the stud carries you for a long run into the playoffs before someone does stop him.

Also, Mays would be a GLIAC player if he had the grades. The last GLIAC back in this league carried Milan all the way to regional finals. Before him, one carried GI all the way to the Semi-finals.

  • When your "horse" is only a shettland, you will need to find others to do some damage. I am pretty sure teams like Chelsea and Adrian will shut down a one man team. That is if you make the playoffs.

  • Wow.. comparing that Robichaud team to this Airport team and comparing Wheatley to Mays. I wouldnt have attached my name to that post either.

  • You are comparing Mays to Wheatley, the Rose bowl MVP. If Mays is the #1 recruit in the nation and gets a full ride to UofM or a school of that caliber then that statement will hold some water. Untill then that was just a silly statement.

Robichaud had athletes all over the field however. Wheatley was just that good. That Robichaud team would beat this Airport team 70-0.

  • Dearborn Heights Robichaud was a one man show when Ty Wheatley was there...How did their season turn out? When you have a great horse, you don't send your slow pony to the track.

  • Airport is a one man show. That wont get you anywhere vs good team and in the playoffs. Airport must develop their other players and get them going if they are to make the playoffs and not lose in the first round.
