Huron League Thoughts and Questions

There weren’t many surprises on the opening night of football around the Huron League but they are some thoughts and questions that I have.

Be sure to check them out only at the Examiner: http://www.examiner.com/huron-league-in-detroit/chris-schultz

  • I wanted to let people know this... Is it Jefferson/SMCC kids or is it the adults that have issues with one another? I'm told that the kids were talking in positive terms from both sides at the JV game last night....Hmmm makes you wonder...
Good luck to ALL of the players on both teams, but I am partial to Jefferson! Go Bears!

  • To the poster from 1:18 pm, you have to understand, we have a lot of transfers from Airport and Jefferson to SMCC over the years, and have assimilated to some degree. Sorry to disappoint you. Have fun looking down from your high horse.

"Transfers"? is that what your still calling them these day?

  • wow can we all have some class here.........ya its a big deal but save it 4 the field people!!! gosss i sure hope thy tie so people will stop ther mouths and stop talking crap shut your mouth and watch the game

  • If two SMCC grads get a divorce, are they still considered brother & sister?

At SMCC they teach us to marry outside of the family, yeah i know thats crazy for you to understand

  • Wow Chris - what has this blog gone to? I have always been an admirer of the hard work and class from SMCC. I'm very disappointed in the SMCC crowd these days! They have officially lowered themselves about three class levels and have now joined the ranks of three other teams in the Huron League - which I WON'T mention as I am trying to hold myself to a higher standard. Good luck to all of the teams in the Huron League this season!

  • RE:"Too who ever responded in the past about the overall record between Jefferson and CC. If you have a half of brain I thought you would notice I was talking about the overall record since it has been in Giarmos hands. The bears have the formula too beat them its been proved in the past. This year is the best team jefferson has had in a long time."

The word "too"(used twice in the above paragraph) is used to describe excess or to mean also or as well. I think you mean to use the word "to" which has nearly 30 meanings and uses. So When you use the words "half a brain" you may want to check yourself at the door.

  • LOL.... they didnt have D6 in the 60's. You didnt see SMCC playing on TV last November? Speaking of D6 I am positive that Constantine, Montague, Nouvel, Blissfield, Hudson, TCSF, Mendon, Ravenna etc... would wipe the field with Jefferson every year. You will have your chance to see how hard a D6 school is to beat this Friday. I am a realist however and I know Jefferson will be tough this year. I just hope the game is well played and injury free. May the best team win. Good Luck!
