LOL... but you lost by 35 to CC.
Quoted from anno... "SMCC will replace enough starters? You think?
They only started 12 JR's and 1 soph last year. Can any other team boast that?"
Huh... GI started 4 sophs and 10 Juniors last year, and most of those juniors are headed into their 3rd or 4th year as starters on Varsity. So I guess your right, no other team can boast that?
You are killing me.... Grosse Ile has a secret weapon !! What a new coaching staff?.... I would be hard pressed to figure out what they have over last years team.

Remember the name: Connor Schmidt!
Ig GI can figure out a way to keep SMCC under 50 they might have a shot.
1.SMCC- Their offense is just so hard to stop. They will return enough starters and replace the ones that left with more athletes. Until they get knocked off the top they will remain here.
2.Grosse Ile- Flame away but I believe they will finally have a defense and the whole HL KNOWS they already have an offense. If I am wrong and the defense doesnt show up drop em to 4 behind Monroe. The loss of Teen will be huge but they have a lot of returning talent and a good group from JV coming up. I hear they have a secret weapon too. hmmmm
3.Airport- They will have a TON of talent and returning starters. Only put #3 instead of #1 or #2 because they have a new coach. Mays will be a handful and they most likely will be #2 but that's a boring predictable pick.
4.Jefferson- They need to improve a lot from last year. If they do #3 I just dont think they will. They did not impress last year and the group from JV was not that good. The rest of the league improved and they had a hard time last year with most of them.
5.Milan- Should be better next year but nothing amazing. Varsity was solid but not amazing. JV was skilled but not very good so the improvements will be slight.
6.Riverview- Did much better at the end of last year but I just dont see the talent to go with the savior coach. About the same results as last year but they will be "in" games so a few more wins is likely.
7.Flat Rock- Good team with a good future, just too young for this year. We wont be able to hang with the rest of the league this year. I am looking forward to the following years though.
8.Huron- They are just bad. Good players. Some talent but for some reason they cant play well together.
Only weak teams will be Huron and FR all the rest will be in most games.
Anonymous March 31, 2010 11:49 PM: Are you saying that SMCC was a one person team last year? If you are that's crazy. They had 5-6 backs that carried the ball plus their QB Howey. Pannone, Miracle led the defense and not to mention their whole offensive line that did really good. In my opinion it is not going to be easy to win the league. It never is. Also I think there will be alot of improved teams this upcoming year.
"SMCC thinks they're going to run away with it again"??? They didn't run away with anything, they battled it man, they took it game by game. It's the "fans" that do all the talking. In the fall, they will be ready to do battle again. Giarmo will lead the team, like he always does. Less talk and more time in the weightroom, men.
The Monroe County All Star Football is June 18th at 7:00 pm. It will be played at Bedford High School. They have a great field, and should be a great game. This will have to hold us over until late Aug when it starts all over again! SMCC thinks they are going to run away with it again this year, but they have another thing coming! Alot of teams want some Falcon meat on there plate! No one person is going to carry them, this is a team sport!
