Over the recent years in High School football many schools have gotten away from the traditional running formations in favor of the spread offense. Many teams choose to run when in the spread but most prefer to fling the ball around.
While at lunch yesterday I had a chance to watch some of the Division VI State Championship replay between SMCC and Montague.
It was really amazing to see the two different styles in action on the same field. There were two very good teams running completely opposite schemes. Obviously Montague won the game but I believe they were probably just a little more talented than SMCC and probably had nothing to do with offensive scheme.
So, if you had a choice what offense would you prefer? What would you rather watch? Which would you rather participate in as a player? Let me know your thoughts.

To the guy who said, we are not in Detroit, we live in a safe community, try to have your team play a Detroit team and we'll find out how elite you are. you ignorant priss
To the poster that used Milan and Huron next to each other. Never again, have fun loosing to FR this year again Huron.
How in the hell does Grosse Ile have foreclosure problems? There all rich as hell!
1/16 10:13.... you need to go to M-live, Ignorace is bliss!
Have you checked the foreclosre list on GI lately!
How does GI have funding issues their all rich as hell.
You want your Saturdays off? How many times do you play airport in one season? Just wondering...why should it come to 7 coaches and 400+ player when you are going to have 1 single Saturday game all year? Just be happy your not from airport and have all your home games on Saturday so please quit your whining
Come up with 150000 or play all away games? Are you all crazy? Do you think the airport player want to play on Saturday? Do they all have an extra 50 grand to donate? Why make them suffer and never have home field advantage over something they have no control over...yes playing on saturday is going to suck but unless you have a spare 150000 your just going to have to deal with it
Unless you are Donating the money GI is NOT building a new football stadium. I know that the little league is looking a putting in a new practice field down by the GI airport but nothing new for the schools. We are having the same funding issues as everyone else and that isn't even on the radar.
I've heard rumors of GI building a new football stadium? Can someone clarify this as true or false?
"To the blogger who said the coaches should appreciate the extra day of practice, I would assume that the team would take the monday of that week off. It's not fair to put the players through an extra day of practice as well as take one of their two days out of pads away. I understand that given the economic situation of our country, high school football lights take a back seat to other needs but does that mean that the kids should be punished with less rest?"
I made the comment and I myself am a player in this league. The extra day would be a great day off [monday; were tired, not focused and such] but it would also help us to get ready for the next weeks game which will be on that friday night. I made the comment only thinking of how it can help the team on the field; not how it can help off it.
