  • EXACTLY!!!! them freekin' refs were getting paid a loooooot or something because all of them pointless penalties called was just an extra effort to help get flushing into the playoffs. WOW! say what you want about calling us
'airport' people crybabies because we lost but this is too much. dont believe me? the proof shows right when the game was ended...them refs RAN off the field to the flushing side!

  • what happended to airpot? receive opening kick in a monsooon, punt, rain stops, flushing touchdown on broken, receive kick, monsoon starts back up, punt, rain stops, flsuhing 80 yard because pluff slipped in the mud, then airport whipped them the rest of the game outgaining them by over 225 yards. COuldnt score because they were called for penalty after penalty. 6 illegal shifts on plays that include no motion, how is that possible, 10 holds, which can literally be called every play to flushings 1 flag, baker tackled while ball is in the air on 4th down, no flag kills the drive at the flushing 35 with 3 minutes left. Baker burns his man deep, after making his cut to get by him the flushing db grabbed his jersey for the next 30 yards, the pass ends up just outta his reach, the flushing announcer wasnt unbiased, and said things like raider nation get up for your defense, and started a lets go flushing chant in the middle of the game, i cant explain it and have never seen anything like that before. It was as close as to a perfect homer job that you could have, something just felt wrong, the jets got cheated because they dominated a flushing team for 3 1/2 quarters but could show anything for it because dumb outta nowhere penalties kept killing their drives, REDICULOUS

  • "None of you got 4.0's, and none of you know how the playoff points work. I do, and I'm doing my best to relay this, so just trust my info."........ what the hell does this mean? the MHSAA came out with the point basis for the playoffs when you were in 42nd grade, young man. watch your ego there. there is not alot to figure out on the point system, we have been figuring it out long before you could count that high.

The MHSAA has a way of surprising people at the very end. I agree with you, the most likely match up will be Chelsea and Airport. Your right, this team has some talent, just like lastyears, Chelsea is a good team and Airport needs to be perfect. How long did you seniors sit in the middle of the field last year after losing to Trenton? You know how it feels, a good team that didnt live up to potential.

  • Carlson will be the last team in Division 2, which is a bad break because Inkster ended up qualifying despite a brutal schedule (Remember last year?). Melvindale is even more solidly in Division 3, but they are beatable, teams can unravel around losing a coach, which we all know just happened. I didn't eliminate other playoff scenarios, but the most logical has Airport hosting Chelsea, and even with a weird drawing they have 80.444 pts, and that puts them ahead of alot of other D-3 teams. And since I no longer get MHSAA, I will be guessing as to what happens. None of you got 4.0's, and none of you know how the playoff points work. I do, and I'm doing my best to relay this, so just trust my info.

And once again, Airport, play with the passion I saw us play with last year against SMCC, and not the passion I saw against Trenton. You have the potential to do great things, and I want you guys to act like it. From the game I saw this year, you guys execute, but just to get it done, not with passion and the intensity of ripping apart the other team until 0:00. So take this message and look at yourselves in the mirror, and this week come out like you haven't all year. Everyone thinks you suck because you lost to SMCC and it'll bring you down in the playoffs. PROVE THEM WRONG!!!

  • Melvindale has only 850 kids for enrollment which puts them between 3 and 4. The MHSAA has a way of taking all of everybody’s common sense and predictions and putting them out to dry. Come Sunday night we will be scratching our heads on some of the Regions/Districts they set up.

  • Well Rusty, Here’s what the word on the street is. We will have to wait to see what the MHSAA does this year. All the predictions have Chelsea moving to a different region/district in division 3. It’s going to key around Gibraltar Carlson and Melvindale. Carlson is on the bubble to either play in Division 2 or 3 depending on how the selection committed feels and what they had for breakfast. Melvindale is on the bubble of division 3 and 4. Melvindale will most likely drop to 4 leaving a gap in three. Carlson may drop to that gap. The other issue is the MHSAA is not a big fan of really good teams paired up i.e.: Adrian vs. Milan and Airport vs. Chelsea. They would rather have Adrian vs. Milan and Airport vs. Carlson and then move Chelsea to the mid state region/district or the west state region/district. So let the debates begin, let the TV watching happen tomorrow night, Fox Sports Detroit, 7:00pm.

  • First of all you dont know what district the jets will be in so it is hard to say if they will have a home game. I can see them being 3rd in a district with no home game... it is possible.
